Melon VPN APK: there is no official APK
People search for a "Melon VPN APK" every day, and several sites are happy to
provide one. None of them are ours. The app is published only through Google
Play, under the package name com.vpnbottle.melon.free.unblock.fast.vpn.
The package name is the only reliable check
An app's name, icon and screenshots can be copied in minutes. The package name cannot be changed after publishing, so it is the one identifier worth checking:
- Open the Play listing for Melon VPN.
- Tap the developer name under the title.
- Confirm the package reads
com.vpnbottle.melon.free.unblock.fast.vpn.
If it reads anything else — a different developer prefix, a different word order — it is not this app.
What a repackaged APK actually is
A VPN app holds two things worth stealing: the ability to route your traffic, and any subscription state tied to the device. Repackaging means someone decompiled our build, changed it, and signed it with their own key. They can add code, remove code, or keep it identical and change only the server list. You cannot tell which from the file.
The specific risk with a modified VPN client is that it is the one app you deliberately give your traffic to. Everything else on the phone trusts it.
If you already installed one
- Uninstall it. Do not just disable it.
- Change the password of any account you signed into while it was installed.
- Check Play for the real app and compare the package name.
- If it asked for a payment card, contact your bank — we never take card details in the app.
Why we do not publish an APK
A file handed out by link is a file we cannot update, cannot revoke and cannot verify. Play signed delivery means a bad build can be pulled and every device gets the fix. That trade — a little distribution convenience for the ability to respond — is one we take deliberately, and it is why you will not find a download button on this page.
Questions
Is there an official Melon VPN APK?
No. Melon VPN for Android is published only through Google Play under the package name com.vpnbottle.melon.free.unblock.fast.vpn. We do not distribute APK files on this site or anywhere else.
I found a Melon VPN APK on another site. Is it safe?
It did not come from us. We cannot vouch for its contents. On Android, installing an APK from outside Play requires disabling a protection Google turned on by default.
How do I check whether an Android app is really ours?
Open the Play listing, tap the developer name, and confirm the package is com.vpnbottle.melon.free.unblock.fast.vpn. If the package name differs by even one word, it is a different app.
Why do you not publish standalone APK files?
Because every copy outside Play is a copy we cannot update, cannot revoke, and cannot verify. Play gives us signed delivery and a way to pull a bad build. An APK link gives us neither.
Will there ever be an APK?
We do not plan one. If that changes, it will be announced on this site first, and it will be signed with the same key as the Play build.
